Since 1961, Carson Masonry & Steel Supply has helped contractors and homeowners alike with their stone and masonry needs. Carson Masonry & Steel Supply was purchased by Bjarne Pederson, a long time Carson City businessman, in 1972. Upon Pederson’s death in 1985, the business was passed to his children, Martana Maurin, Sonnia Egge and Eric Pederson.
In 1990, Pederson’s grandson, Chris Wendell, became vice president and general manager, making changes that have kept pace with the community’s needs and successfully creating a full service, state-of-the-art business that services both the contractor and do-it-yourself home owner.
Today, Carson Masonry & Steel Supply offers the best quality and widest range of masonry materials and an on-site design center unequalled by its competition. Wendell has built a team of 21 employees capable of providing unsurpassed customer service. Their knowledgeable, long-time staff provides exceptional service.
“Home owners can come in and tell us what they want, and using our knowledge and the program we’ve designed, create something they’re very happy with,” said Mark Mercer, assistant manager. “We’re helping people make decisions they’re often going to live with for the rest of their lives. Carson Masonry & Steel Supply is very active in the community, supporting The Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada, The Northern Nevada Children’s Museum, WNC baseball, Carson High sports and the Special Olympics to name a few.
